WINNIPEG - Jul 6/16 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 10,300 metric tons (MT) lentils were loaded for export through licensed facilities which are required to report to it all grain movement in May.
The CGC data does not include exports in containers or from non-reporting terminals. Statistics Canada's official exports for May show total exports reached 53,880 MT, down from 73,535 in April. The official data includes all export shipments, whether in bulk or bags in containers, bulk ships, trucks or by rail.
The CGC reports 20,100 MT were shipped the same month last year, while movement is up significantly from the 1,100 MT shipped the previous month.
