PORTLAND - Jun 11/10 - SNS -- The USDA has released its latest daily summary of export trade and bid activity for shipment through Portland, Oregon. The report foscusses on wheat, barley, corn and oats.
Portland Daily Grain Report Bids as of 9:30 a.m.; Subject to change Bids for grains delivered to Portland, Oregon during June by rail or barge, in dollars per bushel, except oats, corn and barley, in dollars per cwt. Bids for soft white wheat are for delivery periods as specified. All other wheat and barley bids are for full June delivery. Bids for corn are for 30 day delivery. July wheat futures in midday trading were 2-3/4 to 6-1/2 cents per bushel lower compared to Thursdays closes. Bids for US 1 Soft White Wheat for June delivery were not fully established in early trading but were indicated as steady to five cents per bushel lower compared to Thursdays noon bids in a limited test. Bids for 11.5 percent protein US 1 Hard Red Winter Wheat for June delivery were not available in early trading. Bids for 14 percent protein non-guaranteed US 1 Dark Northern Spring Wheat for June delivery were also not fully established in early trading, but were indicated as generally two cents per bushel lower compared to Thursdays noon bids, pressured by the lower Minneapolis July wheat futures. Bids for US 2 barley for June delivery were not well tested. Bids for US 2 Yellow Corn trended 3-3/4 to five cents per cwt higher in early trading. Higher Chicago July corn futures supported bids.
