Canada's Chickpea Exports Maintain Soft Trend
PANAMA - Jun 6/24 - SNS -- Canada's export shipments of chickpeas in April posted significant declines, slumping versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Exports during the month totalled 10,795 metric tons (MT), down from 17,888 MT the previous month. This increased movement so far during the marketing year to 165,727, down 1% last year.
United States was the most important importer, taking 2,603 MT. Italy was the second most important destination receiving 1,761 MT, followed by Turkey at 988 MT.
