Birdseeds Maintain Firmer Tone
PANAMA - Jun 7/24 - SNS - Birdseed ingredient markets continued to show moderate strength in seasonally light trading conditions during the past week.
Seeding of this year's canaryseed and millet crops is expected to wrap up shortly in key producing areas, while sunflower seeding could continue through the end of June.
The U.S. based National Sunflower Association (NSA) notes, "The final planting dates for crop insurance purposes for sunflower vary by state and county. In North Dakota it is either June 10 or 15; South Dakota is June 15 or 20 and all of Minnesota is June 10.
