PANAMA - Jun 14/24 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets finished on an easier note in spot shipping positions, while new crop was largely unchanged.
Spot bids to farmers feld run for No 1 grade yellow mustard delivered processing plants declined 4% on the week, compared to a 5% decline in oriental bids and 8% in brown.
By contrast, new crop bids were largely unchanged. Interestingly, new crop yellow mustard seed bids are now holding a modest premium to spot. Brown is at the same level for through fall shipping positions, while new crop oriental is slightly discounted.
