Spot Peas Ease, New Crop Gains
PANAMA - Jun 14/24 - SNS -- International field pea makets finished the week's trading on a generally easier note in spot markets though moderately firmer in new crop shipping positions.
Supplies available for export before this year's harvest are limited, with the result market participants are more focussed on developing crops in net exporting regions of the world.
North American seeding is now considered complete. Crops in the United States are in mostly good conditions, with 70% rated good to excellent, compared to 28% fair and only 2% started the week in poor condition.
