PANAMA - Jun 21/24 - SNS -- Spot mustard seed markets continued to ease in front the coming week's seeded area estimates for Canada and easing needs for product for spot shipment.
Though prices offered farmers for brown and yellow mustard seed were unchanged on the week, bids for farmers dressed oriental lost 5% to close under CDN 40 cents per pound for the first time since the spring and summer of 2021. Brown accomplished that task last week.
Even so, bids remain at the upper ends of their historic ranges, now sitting in decile seven territory for all three classes.
