Chickpeas Steady In Light Trade
PANAMA - Jun 21/24 - SNS -- International chickpea markets maintained their relatively firm tone through the past week.
Processors and exporters in North America are looking forward the this year's seeded area estimates for Canada and the United States to see if growers are holding true to their original seeding intentions.
The USDA's report is due on July 28 and should break down area between large and small caliber chickpeas. Farmers there had intended to lift land in the crop from 372,400 to 432,300 acres.
