Canada's Field Pea Exports Maintain Solid Tone
PANAMA - Jul 3/24 - SNS -- Shipments of field peas for Canada were up sharply, jumping compared to the previous month in May, recent data from Statistics Canada shows.
Export sales totalled 118,439 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 97% from the 60,069 MT exported the previous month. Shipments so far total 2,330,179 MT, compared to 2,314,076 in the same period the last marketing year.
Current trade data reported India was top buyer, taking 77,077 MT during the month. China was the second most important buyer receiving 20,254 MT, followed by United States at 8,557 MT.
