Chickpea Exports From Australia Record Improved Oucome
PANAMA - Jul 4/24 - SNS -- Exports of chickpeas for Australia leapt compared to the previous month in May, official trade data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reports.
Total export sales for the month amounted to 45,056 metric tons (MT), up 104% from the previous month's total of 22,049. So far shipments have totalled 325,926 MT, down from 392,285 in the same period the previous marketing year.
India was the biggest importer, buying 21,916 MT. United Arab Emirates was the second most important importer receiving 6,787 MT, followed by Bangladesh at 6,159 MT.
