Turkey's Chickpea Exports Record Easy Month
PANAMA - Jul 5/24 - SNS -- Exports of chickpeas for Turkey dropped compared to the previous month in April, the latest data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) shows.
Movement reached 19,098 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 15% from the 22,496 MT exported the previous month. Movement so far total 122,836 MT, versus 63,240 during the previous calendar year.
During the month, Algeria was the largest destination, buying 7,000 MT. Iraq was the second most important buyer taking 2,197 MT, followed by Iran at 1,610 MT.
