Turkey's Sunflower Seed Imports Continue Easy Tendency

PANAMA - Jul 5/24 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year kept up their weaker trend, with sunflower seed imports by Turkey were slightly lower, falling compared to the previous month in April, according to statistics from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Total imports during the month amounted to 55,290 metric tons (MT), down 13% from the previous month's total of 63,555. So far imports have totalled 163,801 MT, down from 374,756 in the same period the last calendar year.

Recent trade data reported Other was biggest supplier, supplying 28,016 MT in the month. Ukraine was the second most important exporter shipping 13,031 MT, followed by Romania at 8,000 MT.
