Lentil Exports From Turkey Sustain Firm Trend
PANAMA - Jul 5/24 - SNS -- Turkey's shipments of lentils in April rose slightly compared to the previous month, according to data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Export sales for the month reached 66,334 metric tons (MT), up from 57,394 MT the prior month. This lifted shipments so far during the calendar year to 215,896, up 9% last year.
The biggest buyer throughout the month was Iraq, receiving 31,264 MT. Algeria was the second most important buyer taking 14,730 MT, followed by Sudan at 5,433 MT.
