Turkey's Lentil Imports Extend Weak Trend

PANAMA - Jul 5/24 - SNS -- So far during the calendar year extended a easier trend, with lentil imports for Turkey dropped compared to the previous month in April, according to official data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Total imports during the month reached 12,340 metric tons (MT), down 19% from the previous month's total of 15,227. So far imports have reached 194,874 MT, down from 384,637 during the previous calendar year.

The largest origin for the month was Canada, shipping 6,724 MT. Kazakhstan was the second most important origin shipping 3,816 MT, followed by Russia at 1,800 MT.
