Turkey's Field Pea Imports Post Strong Oucome
PANAMA - Jul 5/24 - SNS -- At this point in the current calendar year recorded a stronger result, with field pea imports for Turkey rose sharply, leaping relative to the previous month in April, judging from available statistics from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Imports totalled 19,660 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 86% from the 10,563 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 103,906 MT, versus 173,007 during the previous calendar year.
Russia was the number one origin, selling 7,329 MT. Kazakhstan was the second most important supplier selling 6,484 MT, followed by Ukraine at 5,158 MT.
