Chickpeas Somewhat Easier
PANAMA - Jul 12/24 - SNS -- Global chickpea markets were unchanged to slightly easier as prices on spot markets declined in the transition to new crop trading levels.
India remains a focus of attention as the country's imports of all pulses remain at record high levels.
Even so, India remained a net exporter of chickpeas during the the first five months of the current calendar year, shipping 120,350 metric tons (MT) to all destinations, while importing 94,100.
