Italy's Field Pea Imports Extend Soft Tone
PANAMA - Jul 16/24 - SNS -- Italy's imports of field peas during May fell sharply compared to the previous month, judging from data from Eurostat.
Imports during the month totalled 765 metric tons (MT), down from 8,804 MT the previous month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 48,438, down 20% last year.
The latest movement data revealed Canada was largest origin, shipping 651 MT. United Kingdom was the second most important origin shipping 48 MT, followed by Ukraine at 24 MT.
