Field Pea Imports By Turkey Maintain Easy Tendency
PANAMA - Jul 23/24 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year added to a easier trend, with field pea imports for Turkey posted significant declines, slumping relative to the previous month in May, judging from the most recent data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Imports reached 11,058 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 44% from the 19,660 MT shipped the previous month. Imports so far total 114,965 MT, compared to 219,327 in the same period the last calendar year.
The top supplier for the month was Russia, supplying 5,833 MT. Kazakhstan was the second most important export origin supplying 4,708 MT, followed by Ukraine at 513 MT.
