Field Pea Exports From Turkey Record Improved Performance
PANAMA - Jul 23/24 - SNS -- Movement of field peas for Turkey posted huge improvement, soaring versus the previous month in May, trade data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Total export sales throughout the month reached 20,532 metric tons (MT), up 84% from the previous month's total of 11,142. So far exports have reached 133,342 MT, down from 144,629 in the same period the previous calendar year.
Iraq was the biggest importer for the month, taking 13,188 MT. Cameroon was the second most important destination taking 1,992 MT, followed by Sri Lanka at 1,650 MT.
