Lentil Exports From Turkey Reveal Easy Performance
PANAMA - Jul 23/24 - SNS -- Shipments of lentils for Turkey were slightly lower, falling versus the previous month in May, recent data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Total movement for the month reached 56,668 metric tons (MT), down 15% from the previous month's total of 66,294. So far movement has reached 272,532 MT, up from 223,735 in the same period the previous calendar year.
Iraq was the largest consumer for the month, taking 26,244 MT. Sudan was the second most important destination buying 5,805 MT, followed by Eritrea at 4,000 MT.
