Turkey's Sunflower Seed Imports Continue Easy Tone
PANAMA - Jul 23/24 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year continued a softer trend, with sunflower seed imports for Turkey shrank relative to the previous month in May, judging from recent data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Total imports throughout the month reached 14,323 metric tons (MT), down 74% from the previous month's total of 55,290. So far imports have reached 178,124 MT, down from 544,164 in the same period the previous calendar year.
The most recent movement statistics revealed France was top export origin, selling 6,218 MT. Bulgaria was the second most important exporter selling 2,953 MT, followed by China at 2,408 MT.
