Limited Trading In Birdseeds
PANAMA - Aug 2/24 - SNS - Few changes were noted in North American birdseed ingredient markets during the past week in seasonally light trading interest.
Some strength was noted in spot markets for sunflower seed because output will be down from last year for both oil and confectionary type sunflower seed.
Markjets are looking forward to the August 12 USDA production and FSA certified area reports. The U.S. based National Sunflower Association noted, "The FSA figures will be compared to the USDA June acreage report and will give the market a better idea of what got planted this year."
