PANAMA - Aug 6/24 - SNS -- Canada's movement of chickpeas in June were slightly lower, falling compared to the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Export sales reached 7,655 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 15% from the 8,966 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 182,333 MT, versus 193,256 in the same period the previous marketing year.
United States was the largest destination for the month, receiving 3,096 MT. Israel was the second most important importer buying 850 MT, followed by Italy at 612 MT.
