Sunflower Seed Imports By China Maintain Easy Tone

PANAMA - Aug 8/24 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year continued a softer trend, with sunflower seed imports for China eased relative to the previous month in June, judging from the latest data from General Customs Administration of China.

Imports reached 9,245 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 2% from the 9,477 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 87,228 MT, versus 127,098 during the previous calendar year.

Recent movement data revealed Kazakhstan was top supplier, selling 4,230 MT in the month. Bulgaria was the second most important supplier selling 3,400 MT, followed by Russia at 1,612 MT.
