PANAMA - Aug 16/24 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets maintained their easier tone during the past week, with the pending rail shut down in Canada having little immediate impact.
Mustard seed shipments from Canada are relatively consistent on a month to month basis, averaging 15% for August and September and 7% of the season total in August.
The rail shut down will affect containerized and railcar shipments but the impact on truck movement may be more limited.
