Lentil Imports By Turkey Post Improved Performance

PANAMA - Aug 22/24 - SNS -- Turkey's imports of lentils during June leapt versus the previous month, judging from data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Imports for the month reached 33,473 metric tons (MT), up from 20,272 MT the prior month. This increased imports so far during the calendar year to 248,895, down 56% last year.

The most recent movement statistics reported Canada was largest supplier, shipping 22,996 MT. Russia was the second most important supplier supplying 6,423 MT, followed by Kazakhstan at 3,794 MT.
