Turkey's Lentil Exports Continue Solid Trend
PANAMA - Aug 22/24 - SNS -- Turkey's movement of lentils during June made modest gains, rising compared to the previous month, judging from data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Shipments for the month reached 58,840 metric tons (MT), up from 56,673 MT the previous month. This lifted exports so far during the calendar year to 331,885, up 36% last year.
The latest trade statistics showed Iraq was top destination, receiving 24,638 MT. Egypt was the second most important destination receiving 12,497 MT, followed by Sudan at 8,720 MT.
