Sunflower Seed Imports By Turkey Reveal Improved Oucome
PANAMA - Aug 22/24 - SNS -- Turkey's imports of sunflower seeds in June were up significantly, rising compared to the previous month, according to data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Imports during the month reached 19,107 metric tons (MT), up from 14,323 MT the previous month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 197,323, down 69% last year.
Other was the largest exporter, supplying 14,412 MT. Ukraine was the second most important origin shipping 2,917 MT, followed by Bulgaria at 667 MT.
