PANAMA - Aug 30/24 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets were little changed in seasonally light trading conditions during the past week.
The upper end of the bid range for brown and oriental was unchanged on the week at CDN 31 cents per pound for farmer's dressed product delivered western Canadian processing plants, while yellow eased 2% to 42 cents per pound.
Markets were not overly surprised by Statistics Canada's preliminary production forecast. Reports from processors and growers indicate yield results are highly variable across the growing area.
