Lentil Exports From Canada Reveal Improved Performance
PANAMA - Sep 4/24 - SNS -- Shipments of lentils from Canada posted decent increases, moving versus the previous month in July, available data from Statistics Canada shows.
Total shipments for the month amounted to 141,990 metric tons (MT), up 4% from the previous month's total of 136,462. So far exports have totalled 1,681,654 MT, down from 2,223,224 during the previous marketing year.
Current movement data revealed India was biggest consumer, taking 51,355 MT for the month. Turkey was the second most important consumer buying 41,714 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 21,464 MT.
