PANAMA - Sep 4/24 - SNS -- Canada's exports of chickpeas in July sank versus the previous month, according to data from Statistics Canada.
Export sales reached 5,181 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 32% from the 7,656 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 187,516 MT, versus 203,937 in the same period the previous marketing year.
The most recent movement statistics showed United States was number one importer, taking 1,593 MT. Israel was the second most important consumer receiving 575 MT, followed by Egypt at 551 MT.
