Canada's Field Pea Exports Extend Weak Tone
PANAMA - Sep 4/24 - SNS -- Shipments of field peas from Canada sank versus the previous month in July, official data from Statistics Canada reports.
Export sales reached 23,156 metric tons (MT) during the month, down 54% from the 50,449 MT shipped the previous month. Exports so far total 2,404,248 MT, compared to 2,571,765 in the same period the last marketing year.
The most recent trade statistics revealed United States was number one importer, taking 6,730 MT. China was the second most important importer buying 4,421 MT, followed by India at 3,023 MT.
