Kabuli markets continue to be dominated by the strength of the market for large caliber kabuli chickpeas, with asking prices for Mexican origin product continuing to set the tone for that segment.
Desi chickpea values remain relatively strong, despite expectations new crop product will become available in Australia in October. More importantly, ABARES now forecasts production will nearly triple from 491,200 to 1.33 million metric tons (MT.
