PANAMA - Sep 14/24 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets were mostly unchanged in limited trading activity during the past week.
Canada's harvest is making rapid progress, with Saskatchewan Agriculture reporting 84% of the crop was in the bin as of September 9, well ahead of the previous five year average of 65.6%. Alberta's harvest was considered 62% complete.
Markets are keen to see the results of Statistics Canada's second preliminary production estimates. Due on September 16, it will be based on satellite and agroclimatic data.
