PANAMA - Sep 17/24 - SNS -- Shipments of sunflower seeds for China posted significant declines, slumping versus the previous month in July, recent data from General Customs Administration of China reveals.
Total movement during the month reached 22,442 metric tons (MT), down 26% from the previous month's total of 30,331. So far shipments have amounted to 273,773 MT, up from 233,808 in the same period the previous calendar year.
Current movement data showed Spain was most important destination, receiving 3,132 MT in the month. Iraq was the second most important importer buying 2,757 MT, followed by Russia at 2,641 MT.
