China's Field Pea Imports Continue Soft Trend
PANAMA - Sep 17/24 - SNS -- Imports of field peas by China fell compared to the previous month in July, official trade data from General Customs Administration of China shows.
Imports for the month reached 66,020 metric tons (MT), down from 93,403 MT the previous month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 723,835, down 19% last year.
Russia was the biggest export origin for the month, selling 32,403 MT. Canada was the second most important export origin supplying 19,472 MT, followed by Australia at 4,792 MT.
