Turkey's Field Pea Imports Record Better Performance
PANAMA - Sep 18/24 - SNS -- So far during the calendar year posted a impeoved result, with field pea imports for Turkey posted huge gains, rising relative to the previous month in July, judging from the latest data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Imports totalled 35,032 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 273% from the 9,399 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 159,404 MT, compared to 285,374 in the same period the previous calendar year.
The most recent movement data revealed Ukraine was most important export origin, supplying 23,515 MT. Russia was the second most important origin shipping 9,983 MT, followed by Kazakhstan at 1,167 MT.
