Birdseeds Show Some Chinks
PANAMA - Sep 20/24 - SNS - North American birdseed ingredient markets were unchanged to easier in moderate trading activity during the past week.
Oil and confection sunflower seed markets in the United States were unchanged, though both canaryseed and white proso millet were easier against improving availability of new crop product.
As the week got underway, Saskatchewan Agriculture reported that 49% of the canaryseed crop was in the bin, compared to 73% last year and the previous five year average of of 63% complete by the middle of September.
