PANAMA - Sep 20/24 - SNS -- North American mustard seed markets finished the week on a mixed note despite improved demand from processors and exporters to meet short term shipping commitments.
The upper range of bids to farmers for No 1 Canada yellow mustard seed were un changed on the week; while oriental declined 3% and brown advanced 3%.
This kept bids for yellow in decline seven territory, compared to decline six for oriental and four for brown. This means bids were higher only 30% of the time for yellow since 2007, 40% for oriental and almost 60% of the time for brown.
