PANAMA - Sep 20/24 - SNS -- Lentil markets finished the week on a firmer note as exporters and processors worked to meet short term shipping commitments.
Underlying supply and demand fundamentals for the full marketing year are having little impact on short term market perceptions because of expectations demand will remain strong through the fall shipping period, especially for greens.
The key to increased export movement for greens is India, which some retailers in that country will use as a substitute for tur or pigeon pea.
