PANAMA - Oct 3/24 - SNS -- Movement of chickpeas from Australia made significant gains, advancing relative to the previous month in August, the most recent data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reveals.
Export sales reached 17,884 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 35% from the 13,234 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 394,652 MT, compared to 559,968 during the previous marketing year.
During the month, India was the biggest destination, taking 8,037 MT. Pakistan was the second most important destination taking 2,199 MT, followed by Nepal at 1,966 MT.
