PANAMA - Oct 4/24 - SNS -- International chickpea markets showed some stability during the past week, with little movement reported in export asking prices for either kabuli or desi types.
Australia is reporting initial harvest activity in parts of its growing region, though the harvest is not expected to be in full swing until the last half of October.
The key focus for markets will be India's minimum support price (MSP) for rabi season chickpeas and the degree to which farmers respond to government efforts to see plantings increase.
