Birdseeds Continue To Ease
PANAMA - Oct 4/24 - SNS - North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week on a slightly easier note.
Markets appear to have switched their focus to the need to sell what was grown this year as opposed to worrying about the how much will be grown.
Apart from sunflower, ingredient harvests are entering their final stages. The Canadian canaryseed harvest started the week at 92% complete, up 24 points on the week. Progress is similar to last year and above the previous five year average of 85% in the bin by the end of September.
