PANAMA - Oct 8/24 - SNS -- Canada's exports of lentils during August shrank versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Shipments during the month reached 36,465 metric tons (MT), down from 141,990 MT the prior month. This boosted exports so far during the marketing year to 36,465, down 21% last year.
Current trade data reported India was largest consumer, receiving 10,151 MT for the month. Pakistan was the second most important destination receiving 4,264 MT, followed by United States at 3,688 MT.
