Field Pea Exports From Canada Maintain Weak Trend
PANAMA - Oct 8/24 - SNS -- So far during this marketing year maintained their softer tone, with field pea movement for Canada sank compared to the previous month in August, judging from official trade data from Statistics Canada.
Total shipments during the month reached 16,539 metric tons (MT), down 29% from the previous month's total of 23,154. So far export sales have totalled 16,539 MT, down from 99,643 in the same period the previous marketing year.
During the month, United States was the largest buyer, receiving 5,663 MT. China was the second most important consumer taking 3,260 MT, followed by Philippines at 2,039 MT.
