WASHINGTON - Oct 11/24 -SNS -- Pecan production is forecast at 271 million pounds, down 12% from 2023, according to the USDA's latest crop production forecast.
Improved varieties are expected to produce 256 million pounds, or 95% of the total. The native and seedling varieties are expected to produce 14.6 million pounds, making up the remaining 5% of production.
