PANAMA - Oct 18/24 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets retained its recent volatility during the past week, with prices offered growers for yellow easing while brown and oriental were unchanged on the week.
Price activity at the grower level suggests processors and exporters are not eager to add to positions while farmers remain hopeful bids will escalate as the season advances.
Prices offered farmers for yellow mustard remain at the upper end of their historic ranges. Bids are currently sitting at decline seven, which means they have been higher 30% of the time since 2007.
