PANAMA - Oct 29/24 - SNS -- Imports of lentils for Turkey leapt relative to the previous month in August, recent data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reports.
Total imports throughout the month reached 89,004 metric tons (MT), up 676% from the previous month's total of 11,470. So far imports have totalled 349,369 MT, down from 671,751 in the same period the last calendar year.
The most recent movement data revealed Canada was biggest origin, selling 65,343 MT. Russia was the second most important shipper shipping 10,948 MT, followed by Ukraine at 7,663 MT.
