Turkey's Lentil Exports Maintain Strong Tone

PANAMA - Oct 29/24 - SNS -- So far during the current calendar year are maintaining a stronger tone, with lentil movement from Turkey showed modest gains, advancing relative to the previous month in August, judging from statistics from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).

Total exports throughout the month amounted to 44,386 metric tons (MT), up 8% from the previous month's total of 41,185. So far export sales have amounted to 417,458 MT, up from 346,155 during the previous calendar year.

For the month, Iraq was the most important destination, receiving 13,977 MT. Sudan was the second most important consumer taking 10,215 MT, followed by Algeria at 2,522 MT.
