Turkey's Sunflower Seed Imports Maintain Soft Trend
PANAMA - Oct 29/24 - SNS -- At this point in this calendar year maintained their softer tone, with sunflower seed imports by Turkey plunged relative to the previous month in August, judging from trade data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT).
Imports for the month reached 1,823 metric tons (MT), down from 19,383 MT the previous month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 218,529, down 67% last year.
The most recent trade statistics showed China was number one exporter, shipping 997 MT. Argentina was the second most important export origin selling 634 MT, followed by Bulgaria at 133 MT.
